The Anchoring Duplicate 2

Cambridge Dictionary gives these two definitions for an anchor :

(1) Anchor (noun) 

A heavy metal object, usually shaped like a cross with curved arms, on a strong rope or chain, that is dropped from a boat into the water to prevent the boat from moving away:

OR

(2) Anchor (noun) 

Someone or something that gives support when needed:

Jesus Christ our Lord is both of these. ♥️

Hebrews 6:18-19 (NLT)

"So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary"

"We, as believer's, have to anchor ourselves in the Lord so deeply because He'll be the only one to hold us in the future. I ask myself these questions sometimes: "Are you willing to die for the Truth? When that time comes will your courage waiver?" I pray that God blesses me with the courage of the disciples, men and women who came before us that died for the sake of the Truth. If we are drowned in Christ's love and peace what could EVER pluck us from His hand? Nothing and no one"

"I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”
